Don't Know Much About Geography - oh, Wait - I Do

I have a degree in Geography from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. A lot of good it is doing me now, right? I still love it, though, and every time I see a map in a magazine or on TV, I get a little excited.

So, imagine my joy when I saw this:

Map - check. Statistics - check. Religious overtone - check. Jackpot!

I don't know how a study like this can be conducted or measured and evaluated, but it is interesting. According to this data, I live in an envious, greedy, prideful, slothful and wrath-filled county. Well, five out of seven is not that bad, is it?

Look at how bad it is in Southern California. Then again, I DO live in Los Angeles so all of that is quite expected. It's still kind of sad, though.

Fr. Austin, Baltimore is just full of overachievers! Where I live in Los Angeles county, we're only greedy, prideful, and slothful. Which draws the conclusion (if you believe the University of Kansas research to be infallible) that Hollywood isn't as lustful, envious, gluttonous, or wrathful as people make it out to be....

Yeah, LA is pretty red, there, isn't it, Ladies?

Thom, thanks for the reference! It is heavenly!

Well, we could get political ... in that case, Los Angeles is pretty much blue.
