My dad has been going through cancer treatments for the past two months. He is home and doing very well, but he has to limit his contacts. I usually bring him Communion on Sundays between my Masses at the university. This weekend, he was in the hospital and was coming home Sunday, so I didn't take Jesus to him then. Instead, on Monday (my usual day off), I went to mom & dad's house and celebrated Mass with him in the dining room. However, we realized that neither of us had a daily missal, nor could we find a New American Bible anywhere - the NAB is approved for liturgical use. So, what did we do? We went online! The US Bishops' Conference has a page that gives the daily readings so we can follow along even when we are not at Mass, so we can prepare for Mass, or if we just want to read Scripture along with the Church. The Word of God reaches us in so many ways! It was a special joy to hear Dad read from Revelation: "Blessed is the one who reads aloud and blessed are those who listen to this prophetic message". Blessed, indeed!

I will say a prayer that your father gets well soon. My father's had cancer twice (in 5 years) and one of my best friends had ovarian cancer VERY young so I know how hard it is, not only for them but for the entire family. Will keep y'all in my prayers.
Thank you so much! And my dad thanks you too!
